Mazda insurance

Zooming into the new age, Mazda's daring and innovative designs have gone much further than a mere advertising campaign.  Not only is its aesthetic appeal and the need for speed recognisable as Mazda traits, but the comfortable, reliable products are also part of the Mazda's motoring soul.

Officially the company started using the Mazda name in 1984, even though every car they had manufactured since 1931 bore the Mazda name.  The name means “great wisdom” in the Iranian Avestan language, which truly embodies the clever and practical designs of the sporty Mazda car.

The Mazda R360 was introduced in 1960, followed by the Mazda Carol in 1962.

Beginning with the limited production Cosmo Sport of 1967 and continuing to the present day with the RX-8, Mazda has become the sole manufacturer of Wankel-type engines mainly by way of friction.  The rotary models quickly became popular for their combination of good power and light weight.  The R100 and the famed RX series (RX-2, RX-3, and RX-4) led the company's international trade.

In the racing world, Mazda has had success with both their signature Wankel-engine cars (in two-rotor, three-rotor, and four-rotor forms) and with their piston-engine models. Mazda vehicles and engines compete in a wide variety of disciplines and series around the world.  Mazda also sponsors many sporting events and provides racing opportunities in this field.  Many marathon and relay events in Japan, such as the Hiroshima International Peace Marathon and the Hiroshima Prefectural Ekiden Race, are sponsored by Mazda. In addition to this Mazda  has made sure that it maintained its links with the world beyond exporting only, and so it was the league sponsor for the now defunct Australian Rugby Championship.

In the 1970s Mazda hit a slump and as a result as this Ford Motor took over the company in 1979.  Starting in 1979 with a 15-percent financial stake, Ford began a partnership with Mazda resulting in various joint initiatives.  One of these projects included the Mazda Roadster, also the MX-5 or Miata, introduced in 1989, reviving the concept of the small sports car after its decline in the late 1970s. Like many Eastern companies at the time, Mazda experienced a sharp financial decline in the 1990s, partly caused by the Asian Financial crisis.  This caused Ford to increase its stake to a 33.9% controlling interest in 1999.  Fantastically, the company experienced a great turnaround during the early part of this millennium.

Presently Mazda offers products that are reliable, dynamic and are engineered with technological, top class quality while producing economical vehicles that are low on fuel emissions.  Their links with Ford and successful advertising campaigns has raised the profile of Mazda cars, which means that Mazda will continue to zoom into the future.
