Rover insurance
Founded in 1878 by Starley & Sutton Co., Rover's first vehicle was actually a bicycle. The "Rover Safety Bicyle" competed with more risky designs like the penny-farthing. The design's increased stability proved to be very successful and went on to become the standard design for all modern bicycles.
Rover is probably better known for the production of motorised vehicles and has been manufacturing cars and motorbikes since 1904. The company has had a fairly colourful history, experiencing several mergers and partnerships. The brand name is now owned by Land Rover, however no models are currently being produced.
In the past it has manufactured such models as the Rover Mini, under the MG badge. Recent models include the Rover 200 coupe, the executive Rover 75 and the sporty Rover 25.
