Saab insurance

Saab has its roots in the aeronautical industry, but started to manufacture cars in the late 1940s. The company has a reputation for safety, and has in recent years tried to revitalise its image, producing concept cars like the exciting Aero-X. An interesting fact about most modern Saabs is that their ignition controls are floor-mounted, rather than being mounted to the steering column.

Most Saab models seem to contain the number "9" in their name. This trend started in 1949, with the creation of the Saab 92 and continues today with some of the more recent models such as the Saab 9-3, the Saab 9-5, Saab 900 and Saab 9000.

In early 2010 General Motors sold the brand to Spyker.
