New legal service launched for drivers

A new online service has been launched to help motorists avoid getting points on their licence and having to pay more expensive car insurance premiums.
Richard Nelson Solicitor has launched the new website, named Keepmedriving, to provide assistance to motorists who may be facing penalty points or even losing their licence.
It offers practical information and guidance to help motorists to help them avoid the "devastating blow" of losing their licence.
Jonathan Wright, solicitor at the firm's office in Cardiff, said: "Loss of a licence can mean loss of a job, reduced mobility and an increase in family pressures."
The aim of the website, which has already received a number of hits from internet users, is to help drivers "avoid this", he stated.
"Many drivers don't realise that having points on your licence can increase your insurance costs. We aim to help them avoid getting those points and, in the worst case scenario, losing their licence," he remarked.
A recent survey carried out by RoadPilot discovered that over half of respondents said they are sometimes distracted from the road because they need to keep an eye out for speed cameras.
Some 52 per cent said that there are too few road signs informing of changes to local speed limits.
James Flynn OBE, chief executive officer of the company, said it was "worrying" that people believe speed cameras may be having a detrimental impact upon their driving, given that they were originally introduced as way of improving road safety on the UK's roads.
