Who is Fluid?
Fluid - part of the NewDay Group - is a credit card provider that aims to give its customers the chance to get on track with their credit card payments.
It offers 0% interest on balance transfers for the first nine months, which may help people who want to clear their existing debt and manage their credit more effectively.
Which is the best Fluid credit card for me?
Fluid offers a balance transfer credit card. Whether this is right for you depends on your individual circumstances and what you want to use a credit card for.
The card has an initial credit limit of £250-4,000. You can transfer balances up to a maximum of 90% of your credit limit (including the 3% fee for each transfer). You need to make sure you make your payments on time and stay within your credit limit, or you’ll lose the 0% rate.
The typical APR is 34.9% variable. But be aware that this a representative rate only. The actual rate you’re offered will depend on your individual circumstances.
A few other key features include:
Transfer multiple balances
With a Fluid credit card, you can transfer multiple balances of £100 or more from UK credit cards – excluding store cards, NewDay, American Express, Pre Paid, Cashplus or business credit cards. There’s a fee of 3% of the amount of each balance you’re transferring.
To take advantage of the 0% interest offer, transfers must be made within 60 days of qualifying, and your total transfer value mustn’t exceed 90% of your available credit.
You can also use your Fluid card to make purchases and withdraw cash. However, interest will be charged on these transactions from the date that they’re added to your account until the card’s balance is repaid in full.
For that reason, Fluid recommends its credit card as a way of managing existing debt more effectively, rather than making new purchases.
