M&S is a British retailer with more than 400 stores across the country, selling a range of goods including homeware, clothes and food.
M&S Financial Services first launched in April 1985 with the M&S Chargecard. Today, M&S Bank – which launched in 2012 and is a joint venture with HSBC – offers a wide range of financial products including credit cards, loans, insurance and travel money.

M&S Purchase Plus credit card
Spread the cost of your purchases and earn points every time you shop, which are converted into M&S vouchers.

- 0% Interest on balance transfers for up to 12 months on balance transfers made within 90 days of account opening (3.49% fee applies, minimum £5).
- Earn reward points every time you shop.

M&S Transfer Plus credit card
Transfer your balance from another provider to M&S Bank.

Eligibility
To apply for a M&S Credit Card you must:
- Be over 18 years old and live in the UK
- Have an annual income/pension of at least £6,800
- Not be registered as bankrupt, have any County Court Judgments or defaults within the last six months
- Be up to date on any current credit agreements
- Not have an M&S Credit Card already in your name and have not been declined for an M&S Credit Card within the last 30 days
- Be happy for M&S to undertake a credit search and credit scoring.
Are there any charges?
M&S credit card charges include:
- Late payment fee: £12
- Exceeding the credit limit: £12
- Returned payment fee: £5
- Cash advance fee: 2.99% of the transaction (minimum £3)
- Non-sterling transaction fee: 2.99% of the transaction in sterling.
