The NatWest Reward credit card
Reward cards are useful for people who are on top of their credit card spending – the kind who spend a lot on their card every month, but always pay off the balance in full. The NatWest Reward credit card, not surprisingly, gives cashback – an average of £83 a year based on a monthly spend of £1,175. There’s also no limit to rewards on offer so it really is a case of, you spend more and get more (just don’t go mad and make sure you can afford the repayments).
The card gives you 1% cashback at all supermarkets and 0.5% on supermarket petrol stations. If you shop at what NatWest calls ‘MyRewards’ stores, then you’ll also attract 1% cashback – it’s 0.5% everywhere else and also if you spend abroad. Extra rewards include getting 1% cashback if you use Apple Pay and contactless – but these offers are limited until the end of December 2016.
Bear in mind there is a £24 annual fee for this credit card, but if you open a corresponding Rewards bank account then that’ll be refunded to you.
