With this account, you’ll be able to withdraw up to £1,000 a day from cash machines and apply for a fee free overdraft of £1,000. You’ll also enjoy other exclusive Premier rewards and benefits in addition to having the option of joining Barclays Blue Rewards.

For those who are unable to open a regular current account, the Barclays Basic Current Account offers no frills, fee free banking including your own debit card.

If you’re studying at college or University, Barclays offers the Student Additions Account. With no fees, this account is a good way to start your banking journey. The account also allows you to apply for a £500 overdraft which, over the duration of your college years, could be increased to a maximum of £3,000. They also have the Higher Education Account, which allows you to apply for an overdraft of up to £3,000. It also comes with a personalised debit card and access to other features such as cashback from Apple, Amazon and other top retailers.
