High Tech Vs Low Tech Lighting

Around 7% of energy outlay is spent on lighting but it’s easier than you think to save money on your electricity bill by using LED or smart lighting.

Energy saving light bulbs and LED lights are much more efficient than incandescent bulbs and you could always buy in bulk. A smart lighting system is another option but it’s not cheap to set up.

Using the lowest wattage can also save you money on LED bulbs, while smart lighting systems mean your lights can be switched off from anywhere giving you greater control over how and when you use your energy, from your smartphone or tablet.

Overall, cheap and easy LED bulbs are a great solution to get you going initially. But a smart lighting system offers more versatility and could save you money in the long run.
