What types of home insurance can I get with AXA?

AXA offer two types of insurance – buildings insurance and contents insurance.

There are three policies to choose from, offering different levels of cover: AXA Premier home insurance, AXA Plus home insurance and AXA home insurance. Here’s how the combined buildings and contents policies compare.

Accidental damage

AXA Premier home insurance includes accidental damage cover as standard. And you can add it on to AXA Plus home insurance and AXA home insurance.

Legal expenses

You can add legal expenses cover to AXA Plus or AXA home insurance. As well as up to £50,000 of cover, you’ll get access to a free 24-hour legal helpline. 

Personal possessions

Personal possessions can protect your belongings when you’re out and about. AXA offers cover of up to £15,000 for items worth £1,500 each or less. Items worth more than £1,500 each may be specified separately on the policy to ensure they’re covered.

Student cover

Protect your child’s possessions while they’re at university or boarding school with student cover

Home assistance

Add home assistance to your AXA Plus home insurance or AXA home insurance and you’ll have access to authorised contractors to make repairs in an emergency.

Can I cancel a policy with AXA?

Yes, you can cancel your policy at any time through your AXA account or by calling 0330 024 1235. If you cancel your home insurance after 14 days from the start date, you’ll need to pay a £30 cancellation fee and your refund will take into account the time you’ve been covered.
