Compare the Market - The Hundred Final Prize Draw Competition (“Competition”)
Terms and Conditions
1. The Promoter
- 1.1 The Promoter is Compare the Market Limited whose registered office is at Pegasus House, Bakewell Road, Orton Southgate, Peterborough, PE2 6YS (“Promoter”).
2. How to Enter
- 2.1 The Competition will run from 08/07/2024 and will close at 23:59 on 28/07/2024.
- 2.2 The Competition will run on the Compare the Market website only.
- 2.3 To enter the Competition:
o 2.3.1 You must enter the competition by completing our online Competition form. This will be found on our website here: [www.comparethemarket.com/marketing-and-sponsorship/the-hundred/final-competition/].
o 2.3.2 Entrants must be over 18 and based in the UK. - 2.4 The Promoter will not accept responsibility for competition entries that are lost regardless of cause (for example, because of technical malfunction, system, network server computer hardware or software failure of any kind).
- 2.5 You can only enter the competition once.
- 2.6 To be eligible for the competition, you must have or be prepared to create a free account with The Hundred in order to receive your tickets.
3. How to opt out
- 3.1 If you don’t wish to take part in the Competition, you can opt out of the draw by emailing: [email protected].
- 3.2 You must opt out before the close of the draw at 23:59 on 28/07/2024 (“Closing Date”).
4. Eligibility
- 4.1 No purchase is necessary to enter.
- 4.2 The Competition is open only to UK residents (excluding employees of the Promoter, third parties involved in the Competition and their families) who are aged 18 and above. The Promoter reserves the right to ask for proof of age.
- 4.3 Entries must not invade the privacy or other rights of any person, firm or entity, and must not in any other way violate applicable laws and regulations or network standards.
- 4.4 All elements appearing in a participant’s entry must be entirely original, created by the participant. Entries must not contain or reference any third party copyrighted works or trademarks and must not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.
- 4.5 For the avoidance of doubt, there is a limit of one Prize Package (“Prize Package”) per entrant.
5. The Prize
- 5.1 There are 10x Prize Packages available. A Prize Package contains: up to 5 tickets to The Hundred Final at Lord’s Cricket Ground London; 1x £1000 Prezzee voucher per Winner.
o 5.1.1 The Winner may define the number of adult & child tickets required within their 5-ticket allocation, with a minimum of 1x adult in attendance as the Winner must be over 18.
o 5.1.2 The Winner must be available to attend The Hundred Final on Sunday 18th August 2024. In the unlikely case of event abandonment due to weather, the reserve day will be Monday 19th August 2024. - 5.2 There is no cash alternative for the Prize Package
- 5.3 The Promoter reserves the right to offer an alternative Prize of equal or greater value.
- 5.4 The Prize Package is not negotiable or transferable.
- 5.5 The Promoter will not be liable for any costs incurred as a result of the game being cancelled.
6. The Winners
- 6.1 The Winners will be selected at random and contacted from the pool of valid applicants by 23:59 on 01/08/2024.
- 6.2 The decision of the Promoter is final, and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
- 6.3 The Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify or exclude any individual for inappropriate behaviour including but not limited to:
o 6.3.1 tampering with the entry process, (including exceeding any limitation on the numbers of entries allowed), or any other process, which, in the opinion of the Promoter in any way affects the fairness of the Promotion;
o 6.3.2 tampering with the operation of the Promotion or the website of the Promoter;
o 6.3.3 acting in violation of the terms of the Promotion;
o 6.3.4 violating the terms of service, conditions of use and/or general rules or guidelines on the social networking site;
o 6.3.5 acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person;
o 6.3.6 any conduct which would put other entrants at an unfair disadvantage. - 6.4 The Promoter will contact the Winners by 01/08/2024.
o 6.4.1 The Promoter will contact all Winners via email, from [email protected].
o 6.4.2 The Promoter will contact the Winners via the contact details provided by the entrants when submitting the online form.
o 6.4.3 The Promoter will ask the Winner to confirm the following information:
-First name and surname
-Contact details (email address)
-Proof of identity to verify you meet the entry criteria – you must be 18 or older to claim the prize and based in the UK.
o 6.4.4 Winners have 5 days to confirm whether they accept the Prize Package or not and provide the requested information. If no response is received or the requested information is not provided within the timeframe, the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify the Winner & they will not receive any element of the Prize Package. In this instance, the Prize Package will not be offered to an alternative Winner. - 6.5 The Winners' names will be available on request by contacting the Promoter on [email protected].
o 6.5.1 If you object to your name being made available, please contact the Promoter at [email protected]. However, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request. - 6.6 The Promoter may ask you to take part in publicity relating to the competition, but you do not have to agree to this.
- 6.7. The Promoter may ask you to complete a feedback form relating to the contact process and the competition, but you do not have to agree to this.
7. Claiming the Prize
- 7.1 Winners will receive their Hundred tickets via The Hundred app or website.
o 7.1.1 In order to redeem the prize, Winners should download the official Hundred App and create an account or log into your account on The Hundred website to access the tickets.
o 7.1.2 Winners will need to provide an email address registered to an account with The Hundred – registration with The Hundred is required, no alternative method is available.
o 7.1.3 Any use of the app will be subject to the terms and conditions of The Hundred app.
o 7.1.4 Winners will be provided with a redemption code to input into their account to claim the ticket(s).
o 7.1.5 The Hundred tickets can be accessed via The Hundred app or The Hundred website.
o 7.1.6 Tickets will be subject to the ticket T&Cs by the Hundred [https://www.thehundred.com/ticket-terms].
o 7.1.7 The Promoter is not liable for any technical issues with The Hundred app. Winners must contact The Hundred direct in this instance. - 7.2 Winners will receive their £1000 Prezzee voucher, sent from [email protected] to the email address provided by the entrant when submitting the online form, by 15/08/2024.
- 7.3 The Prize Package may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.
8. Limitation of Liability
- 8.1 The Promoter shall not be liable for any failure or omission to comply with its obligations where the failure or omission derived by circumstances outside its reasonable control.
9. Data Protection and Publicity
- 9.1 Personal data supplied during the course of the Competition will only be used for the purposes of the administration of the Competition but may be passed on to third party suppliers only insofar as required for fulfilment/delivery/arrangement of the prize.
10. Intellectual Property
- 10.1 By entering into this Competition, you consent to the Promoter using, altering and modifying your entry for promotional activity such as re-publishing and sharing the content on other social media sites.
- 10.2 The Promoter shall have the right to use the Winner(s)’s name, image, voice and likeness for any purpose in relation to the Promotion in any territory, in any media and in perpetuity.
- 10.3 The Winner(s) forever waives any rights of privacy, intellectual property rights, and any other legal or moral rights that may preclude the Promoter’s use of the Winner(s)’s entry or require the Winner(s)’s permission for the Promoter to use them for any purpose, and the Winner(s) agrees to never sue or assert any claim against the Promoter’s use of those materials.
11. General
- 11.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the Competition.
- 11.2 The Promoter reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without notice.
- 11.3 These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
