FAMILY OF FOUR COULD EAT OUT FOR AROUND £15 BY COMBINING GOVERNMENT’S EAT OUT TO HELP OUT SCHEME WITH MEERKAT MEALS 2 FOR 1 REWARD

3 August 2020 – Customers who combine the Government’s “Eat Out to Help Out” scheme, which launches today, with the Meerkat Meals 2 for 1 reward can save a significant amount of money when eating out this month.

Meerkat Meals is available at hundreds of restaurants up and down the country, with major restaurant chains Pizza Hut Restaurants and Prezzo offering the reward on top of the Government’s “Eat Out to Help Out” scheme.  For independent eateries, combining the two deals will be at the restaurant’s discretion.

The Government scheme gives in-restaurant diners a 50% discount on food and non-alcoholic drinks, up to a maximum of £10 discount per diner, and is available every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday between 3rd and 31st August.

Meerkat Meals offers 2 for 1 on starters, mains and desserts every Sunday to Thursday for a year when customers compare and buy a qualifying product.

When the two offers are combined, this means that if a family of four’s bill came to £60, they could end up paying around £15 in total, not including alcoholic drinks or service charge.

Alternatively, if you don’t want to head out to eat but can’t face cooking, Meerkat Meals also offers 50% off pizza when you spend £30 at Pizza Hut Delivery and Papa John’s, seven days a week.
