In June 2022, Murray was appointed Non-Executive Director of Compare the Market Limited and its Group parent company, BGL (Holdings) Limited, representing BHL.
He has served as Chief Financial Officer of BHL since May 2022. BHL is the parent company of a portfolio of predominantly insurance-related businesses. The BHL Group operates three principal regionals – the UK, South Africa and Australia. It also has businesses in France and new ventures in South East Asia.
Murray was previously a partner with KPMG, having worked in the UK and South Africa. Through working with a global insurance client base, Murray has over 20 years’ experience in financial services.
An auditor by background, Murray joined KPMG in 1999 and became a partner in 2011. His role included leading KPMG’s global fintech team and a digital team in the UK, as well as leading key financial sector accounts.
