Terms and Conditions

  1. Compare the Market Limited (the “Promoter”) provide a website and mobile application (together referred to in these Terms as a “platform”).  This prize draw is open to all users of the Promoter’s mobile application (“Application”) who are UK residents aged 18 years or over, except employees of the Promoter, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the prize draw, who enter the prize draw via the mobile application administered by the Promoter during the Entry Period. Upon download of the Application, opening the Application, registering or signing in and selecting ‘Enter’, you will be automatically entered into the prize draw and will see a message on screen confirming you are in the draw. The latest version of the Application is required to participate in the prize draw.
  2. The opening date for downloads and entries is 12:00 pm on 09/06/2025, and the closing date of the prize draw is 11:59 pm on 01/08/2025, together the (“Entry Period”). Entries received before or after the Entry Period will not be counted, accepted, or considered.
  3. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any downloads and installations which are not completed, or are delayed, for any reason.
  4. Two hundred and one winners will be chosen by random draw performed by a computer process by 15/08/2025 ("Draw Date").  The Promoter will not enter into dialogue regarding which prize is allocated to winners.
  5. There are two hundred and one winners.  One winner will receive the following “Headline Prize Package” for either up to 2 adults and 2 under-16s or 1 adult and 3 under-16s

    a) Return economy flights from available UK airports to Los Angeles, including taxes, fees and one item of checked luggage per person. Flights may not be available from all airports or may be indirect.

    b) Return private airport transfers in the UK and Los Angeles;

    c) 5 nights’ hotel accommodation in Los Angeles, with a four-star rating, based on sharing a family room, including daily breakfast;

    d) 4 x one-day VIP tickets to a movie-themed studio and theme park in Los Angeles, including lunch, unlimited express access to all rides and behind-the-scenes set tour;

    e) £500 spending money, which will be transferred directly to the winner either by bank transfer or PayPal.

    f) A travel insurance policy administered by Planet Earth Travel Insurance Services Ltd. Exclusions and limitations will apply; the winner is responsible for determining whether coverage of the policy is sufficient and whether any additional cover is required for the winner and/or other travellers. Any additional cover will be at the sole expense of the winner.  Cover is only available to UK residents; non-UK travel companions will not be covered and must arrange their own insurance.  The insurance is optional, and declining it will not impact the winner’s entitlement to the rest of the prize.
  6. Other applicable terms for the Headline Prize Package:

    a) Flights will be selected by Prize Provider and not all routings will be available;

    b) The winner must be a traveller;

    c) Travel must originate from the UK.  If the winner chooses to take someone who needs travel from outside the UK, they would need to arrange and fund their own travel insurance and flights but can stay in the hotel with the winner.

    d) The winner and guests must have a valid passport which is not a temporary, emergency or partial document, with at least 6 months of validity at the time of travel;

    1. It is the responsibility of the winner and guest(s) to arrange any necessary visas or Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (ESTA)

    e) A valid credit or debit card will be required for security deposit purposes when checking into hotel accommodation;

    f) Hotel accommodation is based on two adults and two under-16s or one adult and three under 16s sharing one family room;

    g) Hotel will be selected by prize provider at their sole discretion;

    h) Travel insurance is subject to restrictions and the terms and conditions of the insurance provider. It is the responsibility of the winner and/or their companions to meet any additional costs relating to obtaining insurance cover for any pre-existing medical condition and for any additional costs as may be specified where the winner and/or their companions are aged 70 or over;

    i) All prize elements are subject to availability;

    j) The prize cannot be redeemed   for travel dates between the 21st December 2025 – 2nd January 2026, over UK bank holidays or over Easter Sunday;

    k) If the winner wishes to extend their stay or add any upgrades they can do so at their own expense by covering additional costs to the Prize Provider. The prize is valid for 12 months from the date of the Promoter notifying you of winning, and travel must be booked and completed within that time frame;

    l) All elements of the prize must be taken at the same time;

    m) Once booked, the prize can only be altered or amended if the winner pays any additional fees, including administration fees;

    n) At least one traveller must be aged 21 or over;

    o) Where a delay in the airport transfer as a result of an action or omission by the winner results in the winner missing their scheduled flight, the Promoter and/or the Prize Provider shall have no obligation to compensate the winner for the delay or arrange alternative travel arrangements;

    p) The prize excludes meals and drinks, excursions, attractions, treatments, car hire, visas and personal expenses and anything not expressly included in the prize except where expressly stated in these terms;

  7. Two hundred runners up will win a ‘Movie Night In Gift Box’ from Joe & Seph’s.  Each box contains a packet each of: Salted Caramel Popcorn; Toffee Apple & Cinnamon Popcorn; Milk Chocolate Popcorn Bites; Peanut Butter Popcorn; Mature Cheddar Cheese Popcorn; and Caramel & Belgian Chocolate Popcorn.

    a) Delivery is available to addresses within the United Kingdom only;

    b) Prizes are non-transferable and non-refundable;

    c) No cash alternative is available;

    d) All prizes are subject to availability. In the event that any of the products listed above are unavailable, an alternative product of equal value will be provided. Substitute flavours may be offered to accommodate allergies and dietary requirements;

    e) The winner is responsible for ensuring that any delivery note is checked on receipt;

    f) The prize excludes anything not expressly listed above;

    g) The Prize Provider is Element London Ltd (www.element-london.com).
  8. The winners will be notified by email or telephone (using details provided when they registered for their Compare the Market account) before 12/09/2025. It is the responsibility of the entrant to ensure that their Compare the Market account has up to date contact information and The Promoter will not accept responsibility if this is not accurate. If a winner does not respond to the Promoter in order to Claim the prize within 7 days of being notified by the Promoter, then the winner's prize will be forfeited, and the Promoter will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above.
  9. Upon acceptance of the “Headline Prize Package”, the winner will be asked to contact the Prize Provider within 7 days via email, quoting a unique reference provided to the winner by the Promoter.  If the winner does not contact the Prize Provider within 7 days of being notified as the winner of the prize by the Promoter, then the winner's prize will be forfeited, and the Promoter shall be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above. The winners of the “Runner Up Prize Package”, will be asked to will be asked to contact the Prize Provider within 7 days via email, quoting a unique reference provided to the winner by the Promoter and providing their name, email address, phone number and postal address.  The prizes for the winners are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, non-assignable, and no cash alternative shall be offered.
  10. The prizes are supplied by Element London Ltd 5 Morie St, London SW18 1SL (www.element-london.com). The Promoter reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter's control makes it necessary to do so.
  11. The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
  12. The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Promoter will send the surname and town of major prize winners and, if applicable copies of their winning entries, to anyone who emails [email protected] or writes to Pegasus House, Bakewell Road, Orton Southgate, Peterborough, PE2 6YS  (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one month after the closing date stated in term [3] to these terms and conditions. If you object to any or all of your surname, town/city  and winning entry being published or made available, please contact the Promoter whose registered office is at Pegasus House, Bakewell Road, Orton Southgate, Peterborough, PE2 6YS. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
  13. Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
  14. The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so. The Promoter will endeavour to give notice of such cancellation or suspension via its platform.
  15. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
  16. Personal data supplied during the course of this promotion will only be processed (i) in accordance with these terms and to fulfil the prize and entries to the prize draw in accordance with these terms and (ii) to analyse how our promotions and prize draws have performed as we have legitimate business interest in gaining this insight.   17. These terms and conditions and this promotion are governed by English law. If any entrants to this promotion wish to take court proceedings, then they must do this within the courts in England and Wales.
