Scottish Power tariffs
There are several types of Scottish Power tariff. Here’s how Scottish Power prices depend on the tariff you’re on:
- Standard variable tariffs (SVTs) — a flexible pricing tariff, where the cost of energy varies depending on the state of the energy market. SVTs come without a fixed contract or exit fees.
- Dual fuel tariffs — combines your gas and electricity supply into one bill.
- Pre-payment tariffs — you pay for your energy up front. This means you can control your payments, but your supply is cut off when you run out of credit.
There are some types of Scottish Power tariff that aren’t currently available:
- Fixed-rate tariffs — your price per unit of energy (kWh) is fixed for the duration of your contract. However, your bill may change in line with your usage.
