Where can you watch F1 on TV?

The only way to watch live Formula 1 in the UK is on Sky’s dedicated channel. But if you just want to catch the highlights, they’re shown on Channel 4.

  • Sky Sports F1 In-depth coverage of every Formula 1 race, qualifying session and practice session is shown live on Sky Sports F1. You don’t have to be a Sky TV customer - you can even view the channel by purchasing the appropriate package on the NOW TV streaming service, which is available on smart TVs, game consoles and other devices.
  • Channel 4 You can watch extended highlights of all races and qualifiers on the free-to-air channel. You can also watch on-demand through the All 4 app on your phone or tablet.

How do you get Sky Sports F1?

Sky Sports F1 is included in the full Sky Sports package, which also gives you live Premier League football, international cricket, golf majors and more.

If you just want Sky Sports F1 without the other Sky sports channels, it will cost you an extra £10 a month (price correct as of 30 September 2020) on top of your usual Sky package. The contract rolls every 31 days, so you have the flexibility to change what you subscribe to every month.

Bear in mind that if you’re not already a Sky TV customer, you’ll also need to pay for a basic Sky Signature entertainment package as part of the deal (just be aware that if you do this, you’ll be tied in to a contract for a set period of time).

How do you watch F1 without Sky?

If you’re a Virgin Media or TalkTalk customer, you can add Sky Sports to your package for an additional monthly fee. You can’t get Sky Sports F1 as a standalone product unless you’re with Sky.

Another option is Sky’s streaming service NOW TV. You can watch the races and qualifying sessions live by taking out a daily, weekly or monthly Sky Sports Pass. Or you can buy a Sky Sports F1 Season Ticket that gives you access to live coverage for the full Formula 1 season.

Can you get Sky Sports F1 on BT?

To watch Formula 1 on BT, you’ll need a package that includes a NOW TV Sky Sports Pass.

The Big Sport package gives you access to all 11 Sky Sports channels, including F1, while the VIP package includes additional Sky channels and HD sport channels.

Until recently, the choice of Sky Sports channels you could add was pretty limited, but that’s changed with BT’s flexible packages. If you were a BT customer before 21 February 2020, you can continue watching the Sky Sports Main Event channel if you have it as part of your existing deal.

What’s the cheapest way to watch F1?

If you’re an existing Sky TV customer, your cheapest option for watching live Formula 1 is to add Sky Sports F1 on its own.

If you just want to watch races occasionally, a pay-as-you-go package on NOW TV might be more cost-effective. You can follow all the live action on your TV, laptop and other devices with a Sky Sports Pass. A standard day pass gives you access to all Sky Sports channels, including Sky Sports F1.

Alternatively, the Sky Go streaming app enables you to watch Sky wherever you are on up to three mobile devices.

Of course, you can also watch highlights of the races for free on Channel 4, if you’re not too bothered about watching them live.
