Which cars are in car insurance group 2?

Cars in insurance group 2 carry one of the cheapest insurance premiums. This is because they are normally cheaper, less powerful, with smaller engines and cheaper to repair. These are the sorts of factors which decide which insurance group a car is awarded.

A car in group 1 is the cheapest to insure and 50 is the most expensive. So by having a group 2 car you should be able to keep costs down a bit.

Cars in Group 2 include:

  • Citroen C1 Code
  • Fiat Panda
  • Fiat Qubo Active
  • Ford Ka
  • Ford Ka Plus
  • Nissan Pixo Acenta
  • Peugeot Partner Tepee Urban (90)
  • Volkswagen UP!
  • Skoda Fabia Blueline
  • Smart Fortwo Pure
  • Toyota Aygo
  • Vauxhall Corsa Hatchback

Who are group 2 cars most suitable for?

Cars in group 2 are among the cheapest to insure. This makes them better for drivers on a budget, or young drivers who already face expensive premiums and are looking for ways to get cheaper car insurance. Just remember, a car’s insurance group isn’t the only thing that affects the cost of your premiums.
