What BMW 1 Series models are available?

The new BMW 1 Series is only available as a 5-door hatchback, but you can still get older models as a 3-door option or even a sports coupe and convertible. How much fuel does the BMW 1 Series use?

Fuel consumption depends on a variety of factors, including engine type and driving efficiency, but the BMW 1 Series' fuel economy ranges between 35 and 63 miles per gallon. A petrol BMW 125i, for example, can do about 46 miles per gallon, while a diesel 118d is capable of more than 60 miles to the gallon.
This is based on data compiled by the Vehicle Certification Agency. As the fuel consumption figures were obtained under specific test conditions, they may not always be achieved in real-world driving conditions.
