Who are MG?
MG have a rich history in British motor manufacturing that goes back to 1924, when Cecil Kimber, the Morris Garages’ manager found a niche market for a sportier, modified version of Morris cars.
With racetrack successes and a Royal customer base, the MG name has survived some rocky times, including the dissolution of parent company MG Rover Group in 2005.
Today, MG are owned by SAIC, China’s largest car maker. The newest range of MG models, the MG3, GS and ZS are still designed and engineered in Britain at their famous Longbridge plant.
True to their roots, MG have produced a sporty yet affordable performance hatchback, the MG3, and are also building a name in the SUV market with the stylish MG GS and the compact MG ZS.
