  • The cheapest way to get TNT Sports is usually through a broadband provider like BT or Sky.

What is TNT Sports?

TNT Sports (formerly BT Sport in the UK) is a collection of pay-TV sports channels that you can access through various platforms. It’s the place to watch men’s Champions League football, as well as other European club games and some Premier League fixtures.

If you’re into more than just football, there’s PREM Rugby, UFC and MotoGP, plus cycling, winter sports and Grand Slam tennis.

Along with Sky Sports, it’s one of the true heavyweights of sport TV.

How can I watch TNT Sports?

To access TNT Sports, you can:

  • Add it to a TV package

  • Buy a standalone streaming subscription.

Which platforms can I access TNT Sports from?

TNT Sports on BT

If you’re a BT broadband customer, you can add an EE TV package to your plan that includes TNT Sports. You’ll need to pay an additional monthly fee for this. How much will depend on whether you just want the TNT Sports channels or a bigger range of TV channels with your package.

TNT Sports on Sky

You can add a TNT Sports pack to any Sky TV deal for an extra fee. If you’re already a Sky customer, you can upgrade your existing package at any time by logging into your account. You can either do this online or through your TV box with your Sky remote.

TNT Sports on Virgin Media

If you’re a new customer, TNT Sports is available to purchase as an add-on when you buy a Virgin Media TV bundle. If you’re an existing customer, you can add the TNT Sports pack to your TV package for an extra monthly cost.

TNT Sports with EE

A TNT Sports subscription is included with some EE mobile packages as an Inclusive Extra, or you can add it to your monthly EE mobile bill. Alternatively, you can buy it as part of an EE home broadband and TV package.

TNT Sports with HBO Max

If you don’t have or want pay-TV, an alternative way to access TNT Sports is through the HBO app. Like other TV apps, it runs on devices you already own.

You can either:

  • Buy a standalone TNT Sports plan that lets you steam live sports on two devices at the same time, or

  • Subscribe to a TV package that also gives you access to HBO’s entertainment content.

What channels does TNT Sports have?

When you buy a TNT Sports pack, you’ll be able to watch:

Four main live channels

  • TNT Sports 1

  • TNT Sports 2

  • TNT Sports 3

  • TNT Sports 4.

These channels now incorporate content previously shown on the Eurosport channels, giving you access to top tennis and cycling events as well as a host of other sports.

Digital channels

Depending on your subscription, you may also have access to up to six additional digital or red-button channels.

  • TNT Sports 5 to 10.

Extra channels

  • TNT Sports Ultimate – coverage of select events in 4K resolution

  • TNT Sports Box Office – pay-per-view events such as boxing and UFC title fights.

Did you know?

More than seven million people watched TNT Sports’ live coverage of the 2026 Champions League final between Arsenal and PSG in the UK, according to The Guardian. This was despite the game not being broadcast on free-to-air television.

How much does TNT Sports cost?

The cost of a TNT Sports package depends on:

  • Your current TV and broadband providers

  • Whether you’re willing to switch to get a better deal

  • Which devices you want to use

  • If you want standard or high definition.

Many providers, including BT, Sky, Virgin Media and EE, have TV and broadband packages that include TNT Sports. So shop around before you settle on one, to make sure you’re getting the best deal for your needs.

And perhaps consider switching your provider if there’s a saving to be made. Remember that if you’re tied into a contract with your existing provider, it’s likely that you’ll have to pay an early exit charge, so factor that in when you work out any saving.

What our expert says...

“If you’re only interested in watching specific events or don’t want to pay for lots of extra channels, the easiest way to get TNT Sports is to sign up to the HBO Max app. This lets you subscribe on a monthly rolling basis.

“But bear in mind that this might not be the most cost-effective option. Getting TNT Sports as part of a broadband and TV package could offer better value overall, which is why it’s always a good idea to compare sports bundles.”
