“Working in insurance is an eye-opening experience. Early in my career, I quickly realised as a Personal Claims Handler that with the wide range of choice and insurance complexity, customers who ended up with inadequate cover didn’t realise it until it was too late. Over the years, I then learnt every product comes with its own complexities and I’m just grateful that I have been able to be a part of improving customer experiences through a wide range of activity - from optimising processes, products, and quote experiences to changing policy terms, working in rewards, and launching new propositions."
Mubina’s goal
“My intrinsic motivation is to make a difference in the products and propositions I am part of. When the outcome is customers can have an easier experience, have options, can pick a product that is suited to them and have managed to save in the process – that’s when I believe I’ve made an impact.”
"In my personal time, I love diving into home improvements, travelling and unwinding over a nice spa break – though with a now toddler in the house some of those things are taking forever to get in the diary and come with their own new challenges.”

As our Senior Product Manager, Mubina is all about delivering exceptional, innovative customer experiences and services through our insurance comparison service. She’s managed multiple products and led the launch of new products across the business, studying the market to find what customers need most.
BGL Group
During her six years with the BGL Group, Mubina worked across a variety of roles. As a Subject Matter Expert, she was a point of contact for the business on customer touchpoints and processes end-to-end. Across several customer experience roles, she reviewed processes to improve customer outcomes, using their feedback and insights to drive innovation across products and lead the growth of a customer reward programme.

As a Personal Claims Handler, Mubina was on the frontline with customers, at the heart of handling and solving insurance claims. She has extensive experience understanding policy documents across multiple underwriters, throughout the claims process. Thanks to this, she understands what’s important to customers and can cut through the jargon to help them.
